Austin City Gate Retreat

Seeking Creative, Gospel-Inspired Solutions To Austin’s Toughest Issues

Austin City Gates brings together seasoned believers who share a commitment to steward their influence to seek Austin’s flourishing.

This invitation-only group connects high-character executives, entrepreneurs, and civic leaders who’ve demonstrated both professional excellence and authentic concern for others. Through regular gatherings, members explore how their expertise can tackle real community challenges, from economic inequality to civic engagement.

This isn’t about networking for personal advantage, but about building trust with fellow leaders who share Gospel values and a vision of spiritual renewal in Austin.

The Vision Behind The Movement

Participant Testimonials

These are glimpses of what happens when ordinary believers let their faith influence how they lead, serve, and show up at work.

I was burned out at work and questioning whether or not I was doing what the Lord wanted me to do with my life. The community gave me a renewed perspective on my current work and how it impacts the Kingdom. That renewed perspective gave me a sense of peace and joy at work that surpasses all understanding!
Christian
It was an inspiring, enlightening, and fun time. The information and interactions shared during the retreat reminded me of the workings of an accordion, the musical instrument. Just as you prepare an accordion for play by expanding and expressing its folds with air, the information and hearts shared at the event allowed us to be filled with fresh Spirit-filled air waiting to be expressed. So, the challenge I walked away with was how am I going to "play" or express the knowledge and inspiration gained.

This retreat's programming was ideal because it offered a broad teaching topic (like Curt's) that builds skills that can be applied + a city topic that increases awareness (such as Trafficking or homeless, disabled or an arena such as business, the arts or family). This combination, coupled with conversations that allow members to share their lives and challenges is a fantastic model.
